Every last Saturday in January The Artists Return to Jetsons
Every last Saturday in January The Artists return to Jetsons Ft. Pierce for the Annual Highwaymen Show.
Returning stars include Tutti Jenkins, Norman Wright and the infamous #27 Jimmy Stovall. The talented
trio started painting on upson and making frames in the 1960’s in Ft. Pierce and Vero Beach. They are the
“should have been” Highwaymen who due to circumstances weren’t included in the book. Talk with them
and get a feel for what it was like in the beginning.
West Evans who was mentored by Highwaymen Al Black returns for the first time without Al who passed
away in 2025. With every stroke he paints he remembers Al and the joy they took in painting Florida
dreamscapes together. Todd Martin another protégé of Al’s returns with his art. He will also be bringing
Vintage Highwaymen Art from his own collection which will be for sale.
Gertrude Walker honors her husband Charles Walker and her brother Livingston Roberts both
Highwaymen, by selling giclee’s and sometimes their vintage art. Daughter Charmaine brings and sells her
art too.
Dominique Tybes Gibson and her brother Vernon inherited the art gene from their Uncle, Highwaymen
James Gibson. Their art melds lush landscapes with a modern vibe and muse. Kandi Ingram daughter of
Mary Ann Carroll brings an exquisite collection of giclees of her Mother’s art. Vintage art from a relative’s
collection is often for sale too.
Dorothea and Roderick Hair will be there with their art and Doretha Hair as Director of the soon to open
Highwaymen Museum will have information about the new Museum. Hezekiah Baker a Veteran of the Navy
and Air Force will display his intriguing art. The Backus Museum returns with their raffle and information.
And the red carpet will roll out for crowd pleaser Highwaymen RL Lewis and his son Robert. RL packs his
easel and paints a canvas and talks with his fans. He then sells his latest work. It’s fun and gives you a feel for
his art.
Highwaymen Willie Reagan has put down his paintbrush but he and son Darrin (who paints and will bring
his art for sale) bring giclee’s of his best work. Ask Willie what painting of his sold for $10,000 to John Jetson.
The Jetson Highwaymen Show: It’s fun. It’s original and like the Highwaymen one of a kind.
